Our Veterinarians

Dan Davidson

Dan Davidson

DVM, Partner/ Owner

Dr. Davidson is a fourth-generation resident of The Dalles. After attending Oregon State University for his undergraduate studies, he obtained his DVM degree at Washington State University. He joined our practice in 1978 as a mixed animal practitioner, and has a special interest in zoo animal medicine, providing veterinary care for a small camel, wallaroo, elk, and giraffe population. Over the years he has had many pets including horses, mules, donkeys, a crow, infinite cats, and a raccoon (“Bad idea,” he says). His wife Mary, and their three children have kept him busy, along with his wide range of interests. He studies theology, pursues wildlife photography with trail cameras, and enjoys traveling to meetings with his wife, especially to places that allow them to visit their children, siblings, and in-laws.

Hailee Meredith

Hailee Meredith

DVM, Associate Veterinarian

A native of The Dalles, Dr. Hailee Meredith has always been an active community member. A graduate of Washington State University, she received her bachelor’s in animal science and a doctorate in veterinary medicine with honors in her class. Dr. Meredith worked in the Willamette Valley at a mixed animal practice before returning home to start her career at The Dalles Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Meredith enjoys her horse Stryker and her four dogs Chief, King, Drake, and Birdie. She also enjoys many hobbies in her spare time including barrel racing, hiking, and camping. Hailee still takes pride in being a part of the community and serves on the Wasco County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse.

Kim Robichaud

Kim Robichaud

DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Robichaud (“Row-bi-show”) grew up in northern New Mexico. She moved to the Midwest to attend veterinary school at Michigan State University and has been with the practice since 1993. She is currently owned by an old granny cat named Pie. At the office, she treats cats and dogs and has a special interest in geriatric medicine and dental care. Outside of the office, she participates in community theater, hikes, takes road trips, makes and wears crazy costumes, and dreams of traveling more than she currently is able to.

 Wallace Wolf Jr.

Wallace Wolf Jr.

DVM (Retired, Founder of The Dalles Vet)

Retired after forty years of veterinary practice, Dr. Wolf received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. After serving in the United States Army from August 1966 to August 1968, he came to The Dalles Veterinary Hospital in October 1968. Throughout those years, he provided veterinary care for the large and small animals of many, many families of The Dalles, and volunteered his time to multiple civic organizations and activities. His son, John, and his daughter, Mindy, grew up in The Dalles, and they are raising their children in the area as well, allowing Dr. Wolf and his wife, Vicki, to spend time with their grandchildren, Gillian, Emma, Mia, and Mead. Dr. Wolf continues to take care of his own pets, and he enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and traveling. When we see Dr. Wolf, he often says that since he’s retired, he’s busy enough that it feels like there’s less time in the day!

Office Management

Chris McCafferty

Chris McCafferty

CVPM, Practice Manager

After 14 years of intermittent experience with The Dalles Veterinary Hospital, Chris comes to us as our practice manager! Before she joined us at TDVH, Chris managed veterinary practices for five years and became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) in 2023. When you can’t find her in the office, she is outdoors in any way, shape, or form, whether gardening, fishing, or anything in between! Despite her two wonderful daughters being grown, their family runs the Mt. Hood Classic Jackpot Show each year to give back to the 4-H and FFA organizations that impacted their children’s lives. In the midst of all of it, Chris and her husband of 26 years, Jeremiah, love on their two Parson Russell Terriers, Cash and Henry, and their family cat, Nemo.

McKenzie Shaw

McKenzie Shaw

Assistant Manager & Veterinary Assistant

McKenzie has been with us through it all! Over five years ago, she started as a kennel technician and is now working as a veterinary assistant and assistant manager. She is currently in school to become a certified veterinary technician, and above all, she is our go-to gal for just about everything in the clinic! She specializes in solving all of our technical issues and naming pets after her favorite foods and TV show characters; Pineapple the Horse and Frank the Fish can attest to this. McKenzie is an avid gamer, enjoys spending time with her friends, learning how to clog dance (she would be happy to give you a demo!), and keeps us on our toes with philosophical questions!

Receptionist & Hospital Staff

Lisa

Lisa

Receptionist

Lisa’s friendly face has been cheerfully greeting the clients and patients of The Dalles Veterinary Hospital since August 2014. She and her husband have multiple four-legged family members including four horses, two dogs, three cats, two rabbits, and chickens that they keep as pets and for fresh eggs. Lisa is a full-on health and fitness fanatic and when she isn’t welcoming people and their pets to our hospital, she can be found snowmobiling, lifting weights at the gym, cooking, horseback riding, scrapbooking, watching Hallmark movies, and taking road trips in her RV.

Lee-Ann

Lee Ann

Receptionist

Lee Ann is no stranger to our clinic! Her radiating smile has been greeting friends and pets for the last seven years! When you can’t find her behind the reception desk, she is outdoors soaking up the sunshine or going to barrel races with her horses, Goose and Bugs. If you know Lee Ann, you know her big heart is filled to the brim with love for all things wiener dogs! And of course, her own four-legged family members; Dash, Daisy, and Dalton, and her two kitties Mulder and Scully. Vet medicine runs in their family roots, Lee Ann is a proud mom to our own Dr. Hailee Meredith, and veterinary technician, Hannah Thonney, and of course grandbaby Zeb!

Michelle

Receptionist

It hasn’t been confirmed, but everyone has a sneaking suspicion Michelle only works here so she can spend time with all of the animals! She was born into an animal-loving family and frequently took in pets growing up, from horses to bottle calves and the occasional farm puppy. Before coming to TDVH, she worked in PR and was recruited for Waggener Edstrom Worldwide and Nike. She spends the majority of her time raising show lambs and cattle and taking care of her mini-herd of dogs and cats (most of which she credits her daughter for bringing them home). When she isn’t busy with farm life, Michelle enjoys going to sporting events with her kids, reading, and drinking iced tea!

Diane

Diane

Receptionist

For the last year, clients and staff alike have enjoyed having Diane at the clinic! It comes as no surprise she is a fellow animal lover, she has four dogs (2 mini Aussies, a mini Aussie/border collie mix, and a black lab), chickens, and three-quarter horses. When she isn’t taking care of her herd, she loves to sew, ride horses, and watch her grandkids’ sporting events. Diane and her husband of 49 years, Guy, have three daughters, one son, four granddaughters, one grandson, and two great-granddaughters who they enjoy camping and river rafting with!

Sheila

Sheila

Records Clerk

Sheila recently joined our team in April, but we can’t imagine the clinic without her! She is a single mom of two wonderful, beautiful daughters and the grandma to a sweet 11-year-old girl who loves everything about farm life and animals and her 13-year-old big brother, who is equally obsessed with fishing and anything related to cars and trucks. Although spending time with her family is her favorite, Sheila also loves to sew and crochet, make crafts, and read! Of course, you can’t forget about Oakie, the best old lady pug ever!

Technicians & Assistants

Aimee

Aimee

Veterinary Assistant

You will surely recognize Aimee around the clinic because she has been with us for about ten years! She started as a kennel assistant when she was 16 and worked up to become a veterinary assistant! She grew up in The Dalles into a big family that grew up around animals and participated in 4H while growing up. Aimee’s love of pets has been fueled by working at TDVH; she has rescued two abandoned kittens, Ocean and Finn! She also has a quarter horse named Den, and two dogs, Angus and Ryder. When she isn’t at the clinic, she is a bookworm of many genres, hits the gym, and hikes when the weather is nice, which the dogs enjoy too!

Ali

Ali

Veterinary Assistant

Two years in, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her! Ali is one of our phenomenal assistants and is currently in school to become a certified veterinary technician. She is our professional spicy cat wrangler and will tame even the fiercest of beasts! Ali loves the fall when the leaves change colors and loves to spend her free time reading. She has built up quite a collection of rocks and fossils. Her pride and joy are her black long-haired kitty, Sassy Pants, a spunky Jack Russel named Dood, and Mama Kitty!

Jane

Jane

Veterinary Assistant

As our resident artist, it is no surprise that Jane is creative in almost every imaginable way! She watercolor paints, draws, and even felts, creates stickers, and embroiders on occasion! Her peaceful personality radiates through all she does, whether it’s admiring the flowers and mushrooms on hikes, caring for our patients, spending time with her partner, or loving on her two cats, Tobio (“Sour Patch Kid”) and Kagome (“Sweet One”). If the nicknames didn’t clue you in, they keep her hands full between Tobio’s selectiveness for when he wants to be loved, and Kagome who is in full kitten mode!

Karina

Karina

Veterinary Assistant

Karina has been a happy friendly face here at The Dalles Vet for five years now. She grew up in Dallesport and spent her younger days helping to raise cattle with her family and riding horses around their farm. Karina enjoys helping people and providing compassionate care for them during their appointments. When she is not working you can usually find Karina up in the mountains enjoying the fresh air that it brings, or out on the Columbia River fishing for salmon! See the picture of her! Karina still lives in the old farmhouse on her family’s property with her cats, Precious & Smoke.

Maddie

Maddie

Veterinary Assistant

Maddie was born and raised into a pet-loving, livestock-raising family, so it doesn’t come as a shock that she is no stranger to animals. Growing up in The Dalles you could find her showing sheep or cattle at the Wasco County Fair, or spending time with one of the many four-legged family members at home! Maddie has been with us for over five years helping to take care of your loved ones. Outside of animals, she enjoys playing piano, jackpotting her cattle, and being involved in anything leadership-based. She attends Oklahoma State University during the school year but comes back to us over breaks!

Megan

Megan

Veterinary Assistant

Megan hails from Mishawaka, Indiana where she moved from with her husband, Nate, and her two kiddos, daughter Gwen and son Gabe. She joined the TDVH family in June 2024, and has been knocking our socks off ever since with her broad range of knowledge and experience! Her family has a husky mix named Nalu, and three cats, Daddy, Monkey, and Orca. Megan enjoys going to festivals and live shows; her family also loves to travel and experience new things. She loves being by the water and soaking up the sun, and is excited to explore all that Oregon has to offer!

Roxy

Roxy

Veterinary Assistant

For the last two years, Roxy’s big heart has shown through as she takes care of our patients! She has a special place in her heart for pets, so it comes as no surprise she has four springer spaniels, Ace, Queenie, Whitey, and Carl; her four-legged crew also consists of two cats, Mango and Chai. Roxy enjoys hiking, reading, paddle boarding, going on road trips/traveling, and going to concerts. When she isn’t out and about, she likes to spend time with her two siblings, an older sister and a younger brother!

Kennel Technicians

Diana

Diana

Kennel Technician

Diana has been with The Dalles Veterinary Hospital since January 2014! She has an animal science degree and a wide range of experiences in animal care and training, including horsemanship and racetrack training. She spent time with Critters of the Cinema, working with everything from ants to elephants to ready them for TV, movies, and commercials. She was an assistant trainer of tigers for Great Cats of the World at Bridgeport Nature Center, and a dog groomer at Waggin West in Yuma, AZ. In her spare time, she rides horses and motorcycles, and she makes it her goal to try something new on a regular basis!

Austin

Austin

Kennel Technician

Although she has only been with us since March, it’s safe to say that Austin fits right in with our animal-loving crew! Her great care for our patients is no surprise, considering she has a gaggle of pets at home! They range from sheep, pigs, and chickens to three dogs and two cats. She might be the youngest of two, but that doesn’t stop her from being involved in many things. When she isn’t riding horses or relaxing with a book, she is actively involved in Dufur FFA as the secretary and the vice president of her 4H club! Working at TDVH is just the first step to achieving her goal of being a veterinarian!
